Birth Doula Services
What is a birth doula and why do you need one?
First and foremost, the presence of a certified doula during a birth statistically results in shorter labors and overall better outcomes. Particularly for first time parents or those who have had previous birth trauma experiences, having someone familiar with and confident in the process is extremely comforting. A doula can reassure you and your partner that things are progressing as they should. Most doulas offer prenatal and postpartum support in addition to birth services. They can be an excellent resource for your local birth community if you find yourself needing more help with things like mental health services, massage/acupuncture, lactation, etc. Doulas can help you to labor longer at home in comfort by offering pain-relief techniques such as massage, aromatherapy, hypnobirthing and other such methods. Most importantly, a doula will support you through YOUR birth choices. Should you choose a home birth, birth center or hospital setting, a midwife or OBGYN, epidural, water birth, spontaneous labor, induction or cesarean. My job at Elevate Elation Doula Services is to cultivate the environment to achieve your personal birth goals in a non-judgmental or bias, yet safe and confident manner.

Prenatal and In-person Birth Support and *Photography~ $1650
This is my most intimate and all-inclusive package, which has limited availability so that my time and focus is dedicated to you and your experience. Beginning as early as 12 weeks, I will be available virtually via phone calls, text and email to answer any questions or concerns related to your pregnancy and offer my wealth of knowledge of remedies to common pregnancy symptoms and ailments, in conjunction with your prenatal care providers. A minimum of two prenatal visits will be scheduled for birth planning and labor prep. Once labor begins, I can meet you at home, the hospital or birthing center. I will stay by your side through the duration of labor and delivery providing specialized techniques and coaching and remain present until you are situated and comfortable post birth, which is typically around two to three hours after baby arrives. I am more than happy to help document your birth with non-professional photos/video when I am not hands on and helping Mama. Once I take my leave, I will remain in touch and easily reachable. I can assist the transition back home from the hospital/birth center or we can meet again as soon as you are feeling up for it! I offer up to two postpartum visits to check in and drop off any necessary essentials. Feel free to reach out any time after your baby is born if you have any questions, concerns or are simply seeking guidance for recommended fourth trimester care. I am pleased to offer Birth Support services to anyone within the United States, virtually. We will specially craft a comprehensive birth plan that you can download and take to your delivery so that you are comfortable with bringing up your preferences with your provider and confident in advocating for yourself in the delivery room. We will also use this meeting to review pain relieving techniques and positions as well as pointers for your partner. I will then be available via phone/text until your precious baby is born! TENS Unit Rental~$75
While I always bring a TENS unit to my clients in-person births, you can add the benefit of beginning to rent a unit until delivery. TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) units offer a form of non-medicated pain management. TENS first started being used in labor in the 1970’s and have a history of being used for various other conditions such as menstrual cramping, arthritis and other chronic pain conditions. It works by changing how a person perceives their pain. The great news is that you can use TENS safely during any stage of pregnancy and research suggests that it can enhance placental blood flow! It can be useful in managing neck, back and hip pain during pregnancy. Rentals are limited availability based on stock. All necessary supplies and instructions for use will be provided.
